Philosophy

My work in Sport and Performance Psychology is focused on helping athletes

develop a decisive mental edge; the cognitive skills that allow performance to

consistently elevate and excel under pressure.

Spending time playing in the QMJHL, CJHL, and EOBJHL gave me firsthand

exposure to the realities of high-performance junior hockey: constant evaluation,

competition for roles, external expectations, injuries, and the psychological

demand of having to perform night after night. At this level, physical skill is rarely

the differentiator. Athletes who succeed consistently do so because they think

more clearly, regulate emotions more effectively, and execute with confidence

when pressure is highest. They possess the mindset and mental skill that

separates them from the rest.

Professionally, I have worked in a Sport and Performance Psychology role with

the Kanata Lasers Junior A Hockey Organization, supporting athletes in strengthening the mental side of their game. This work focused on developing confidence, focus, decision-making, emotional control, role clarity, and the ability to perform reliably in high-pressure moments. I have also spent the past decade helping athletes build elite cognitive skills that translate directly into improved consistency, execution, and competitive advantage.

Over the past 10 years I have supported many individual athletes, and high-performing clients, who are looking to raise their performance ceiling, not just manage stress or anxiety. This includes sharpening consistency, accelerating confidence, improving composure, reducing performance volatility, refining goal setting, and developing a mindset and cognitive skill that supports sustained high-level execution.

The mental edge we develop is not about hype or aggression. It is about clarity, self-trust, resilience, and the ability to access your best game more often, especially when it matters most.
